Annual Pumpkin carving!

Ok so every year we do what every other family does just before Halloween.  We carve our pumpkins.  But this year was especially fun because most of our pumpkins were from our own garden.  Such a big deal for us!  The pumpkins weren't very big but who cares.  All but the realy big one Jaysen carved came from our garden!  Can you say awesome?  Anyway Emilee loved cleaning it out.  She even tried eating a raw seed.  She quickly spit it out!

Master artist Jaysen knew what he wanted to do and quickly convinced his pumpkin carving partner "Branden", that his idea was great.  Check out the natural crease in his pumkin.  He totally used that to make his design great, thanks to a suggestion from daddy.

I love the girls concentration as they carved.  I just love some of the carving tools available now.  The kids can do more of the carving.

Tada!  Which is cuter Ashlee or her Jack-O-lantern?  During our eveming Branden in his four year old wisdom said, "It's a pumkin til you carve it.  Then it's a Jack-O-Lantern."  Got to love my smart kids.

Miss Em's head could almost be exchanged for her Jack-O-Lantern.

Now check out my kids creative side.  Austin and Quinton created a Cyclops. Got to love it.

Here is Jaysen's and Branden's in the dark. Sorry about the other light in the background.  That's just a light up decoration.

And in the Light.  Just love how the face curves in along the natural crack.

Hope your pumkin carving went just as well.
