I love finding great deals. I love going to the Habitat for Humanity Restore. They have new and used home improvement items donated. The new items aren't really much of a deal, but the used items are awesome. You have to be willing to be creative and look past the sometimes dirt and grime or color or finish. You can't really go with a shopping list, and sometimes you may find nothing. But when you do it's great! Oh before I forget I had a request for the Restore address here in Utah. It's 1276 S. 500 W., get off I-15 on 1300 South and go under the freeway and it will be on the right. They are open Tues- Sat 9-6 pm. Anyway here are my latest and greatest finds. My mother got a new lantern for her back door for $2.50. I found this crown molding, 4 sticks each about 12 to 15 feet long. I got all four sticks about 60 feet for $20.
We are getting ready to remodel our master bath. Most of my inspiration pictures have marble counter tops. But I figured I could not afford that and would come up with something else. The size of marble counter that I would need would cost at least $320. So you can imagine how fast my heart started pounding when I spied what I thought was a marble counter top. I climb over a few other sinks and counters to get a closer look. Yes! I had found a solid marble counter top. It was about 6 feet long and already had two sink holes cut out of it. I asked what they wanted for it, $20 was the reply. It was all I could do to keep from screaming, "You have got to be kidding." But I kept my cool. After some careful measuring I notice a sign that said 50% off all bathroom sinks and counters. So I ask if that include mine. "Sure," came the reply. $10!!!!!! I lovvvve this place. So here is a picture of the back, it's way to heavy for me to move by myself to take a picture. But you get the idea of it's size.
And here is a close up of the veins. Sorry it's a little blurry. I can't wait. And to think I thought I couldn't afford marble!
What do ya think?
Can't you see the new bathroom?
