I love Mother's Day. I got breakfast in bed. It's always so delish and I love all the kids watching me and begging for a bite, and Dad saying no it's Mom's breakfast. But I always share anyways, that's what makes it fun. I love trying to keep the tray steady beacuse there are six wiggly kids on the bed with me. This is the one morning my kids are all angles and eager to watch my every move. I love watching each ones eyes as I open their card or gift. They are so excited to see how pleased I am with them. (Even my teenagers!) My wealth is all gathered on my bed for one morning with my love happily watching and trying to make everything go perfect. These are the moments we want to remember! I thank my Heavenly Father for that moment and each one of my children and their father. Mother's Day morning helps me think I can face the mother challenges that will come this next year!
My teenagaer actually gave me this trophy! I did feel like the best mother. Although I loved it I loved the heart felt card he gave me the most. I also loved the hand made gifts and coupon books.
This is my beautiful mother. She taught me a lot growing up. As a teenager she was the person I most admired. She was one of my best friends. I'm lucky to live close to her now an to spend Mother's Day with her. Thanks mom!
The rest of the pictures were little things I enjoyed. Like Ash practing raising one eyebrow. (A talent I can not do!)
And finally here are some pictures of an unplanned gift. The gift of love and laughter. I don't know about you but I love to watch the kids play with their dad. That bonding is so enjoyable to me. So I snaped some pictures.
Branden's face tells it all!!!!
