I don't know about you but I love all the really cool lights you see in magazines,
but I don't like the really high prices $$$$$$ of them.
So you may ask how I have replaced almost all of the light fixtures in my house?
(No, I'm sure you didn't ask, cause by now you already know!)
Of course I buy them for practically nothing at second hand stores, garage sales and clearance sales.
If your patient and have a good eye you will find something you can use.
Anywhoo, with that said lets check out the story of my entry way light.
Originally we had this round builder grade light fixture.
Not ugly just BORING!!!!!
First I found this small chandelier. I painted it and installed it. It was much better than the builder light.
I lived with it for about a year, but it was never quite right.
But then I found the perfect light at the Restore for just $5.
Who could resist $5?
Here she is.
I didn't even have to paint her.
She came ready to install, so I took down the old and put up the new
and surprised Les when he got home.
He actually liked it!!!
(Maybe I should do a post on how to change a light fixture?
or does everyone know how?
I've learned a lot from working side by side with Les all these years.)
Here she is all lit up. GORGEOUS!!!
The glass looks like the old glass with small air bubbles in it.
It really makes the space feel custom. What do you think?
Here is a side by side comparison.
Better? The same? or Worse?
What do you think?
Well, I really like it so I guess she's staying,
(until I change my mind! lol)

OMGosh! It's beautiful! $5.00? Great find. I like this one the best.

I like it! You can't beat $5. I changed out all my hall lights in our Queen Creek house within 3 months because they were awful.
I definitely like this one better. I've been looking for an inexpensive pendant like that too.
I love your bargain buys and the light looks great.
love it. seems like an improvement to me.
