This Old House Again!

This is July's issue of This Old House, 

and I'm so excited to show you what's inside!

The Pirate Room!!

(And a small picture of us!)

I actually entered us into the Reader Remodel contest again.  

Last year we won in the Bath category.

This year I entered the Pirate room in the Living room/bed/dining room category.

 (Yes, they were all lumped together as one.)

I got a call one day that went something like this,

"Hi, I'm  So and So  from This Old House."

My heart started beating faster.

"I just called to tell you you did not win our Reader Remodel contest,"

My heart sinks

"But we want to use a picture of your room in our magazine for another article."

My heart comes back to normal.

Then he asked a ton of questions about how and why we did our pirate room.  

He ended saying, 

 "I have way too much information than I need I just couldn't stop asking questions." 

(Quite flattering.)

Even though we didn't win the $1000,

 I'm still so pleased to be in the magazine again!  

It never really gets old being published!!

I mean it's so cool to open a magazine and see yourself in there.
