Colorado Trip

Right after New Years we traveled to Denver Colorado for my best friend's wedding.
We used it as and excuse for some over due fun with our kids.
(Unfortunately Austin didn't get to go due to having to work.

Just wanted to show ya what fun we had.

First up was the Molly Brown House.
Yes, the Unsinkable Molly Brown who survived the maiden voyage of the Titanic. They offer a 45 min tour through her house and tell just about everything about her life.
We could not take any pictures inside the house,
but it was a great tour.

The Butterfly Pavilion was by far the favorite stop of almost everyone.
Branden and Quinton held Rosie the tarantula, I had to hold her so Emilee would.
(Can I say I held Rosie twice, because Les didn't get the picture taken until after Rosie crawled off my hand.  I'm not going to lie, it was creepy.

The butterfly room was amazing.  It was like an indoor rain forest with tons of butterflies just flying around you. You have to check to make sure no insects are on your person as you leave.
The kids were enchanted.

My friend got married in the Denver Clock Tower
It was a small but very neat wedding and reception.
For the ceremony they stood in front of the clock face.
Lovely!
Been friends with Angie since 5th Grade!
Truly awesome to share this day with her.

On our way home we swung by to see the Denver LDS Temple.
 That was cold but fun!!

We saw some fun things, but by far the best part was being able to spend time with our kids.  No schedules, school, work or any thing to get in the way!
I really have to thank my kids too!
They were so grateful the whole trip.
Hope you had a great begining to your new year also!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

So glad you had such a wonderful time with your kids! I wouldn't be able to hold a tarantula, they creep me out! The picture of the wedding in front of the clock is stunning! They're all beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing those precious moments!
