Laundry Room - Glueing Imago Wall up!

Last time I showed you the Imago we found to cover our laundry room cabinet walls.
Today I want to show you how we installed them.  First I primed and painted the walls white.  As I mentioned on my last post, the Imago is slightly transparent, so I wanted white as a background.

Once the walls were prepped it was time to prep the Imago.  We had already cut them to fit, so we just had to pull off the protective covering.  It was like pulling off a giant sheet of masking tape.  Lot's of hands make light work,
three of our kids helped!!

We did one last dry fit to make sure it was cut right.
Then it was time to glue!!
I bought large bottles of Elmer's glue at Walmart and dumped one bottle into my paint tray at a time.  I ended up using one large bottle per side.  Then I just rolled it on with a foam roller.

I tried to work fast so I could cover the whole wall before it dried.
I also tried to get it nice and thick.
Then we just put the Imago piece in place.  Quickly we lined up the front edge and clamped it.  While Les was clamping I was pushing and smoothing all of the flat surface.  I continued to apply smoothing pressure for a few minutes.  Since we couldn't clamp it farther back we leaned heavy objects against it. Then we just let it dry for 24 hours.

I only had two spots on the very front edge at the top and bottom where I had to add a little glue and re-clamp.  The key was working fast on this installation.  The glue starts to set and dry quickly.
I must thank all my helpers.
 Em,
Ash,
 Quinton(who is taking the pictures
and Ozzie(not sure he was really helping).

Here is how it looks installed!!

What do you think?
If you follow me on Instagram you have seen my stenciled wall.
I was debating on whether or not I liked it with the linen Imago.
Stay tuned to see if I kept it or painted over it!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
