New Project- Em's room

I know it's been awhile since I have posted about any projects I have been working on.
That's because I have been working so much on my last project I didn't have time to post!! If you follow me on Instagram you have seen a few sneak peaks!!
Today I am here to show you what my latest project is,
That may not sound very exciting to you, but it was for Em.
So let's see what I had to work with.

This is her room just before we started the Laundry Room. If you remember we annexed most of this cubby next to the closet for the built-ins for the laundry room.
After the laundry room was done we built a wall in front of the back of the laundry built-ins.
(You can see the back end of the built-ins in the photo below)
We left an opening into Em's room for some storage.

Once the new section of wall was taped and textured here is what I had to start with.
Pretty basic white square box!!

Em decided awhile ago she wanted a pink and black room with an Eiffel tower in it!
So you know how I do things, I started gathering or finding things for her room.   collect things at second hand stores sometimes a year or more before I get to a room.
(I know it's because I am slow!!)
By the time I got around to starting her room she was thinking about changing her mind. She thought it would look like a little girl room with pink!
Trust me I said.
You'll like it!!
Now I just have make sure she likes it!!!!

OK, what else did she or I think she needed?
Definitely she wanted a new light fixture, and a more functional closet.
(Who thinks one rod and shelf is functional in a closet?)
Oh and did I mention she wanted a chair in her room?
And one last request from Em, I want my cow candle to be in there!!
You heard me,
a candle shaped like a cow.
She bought it from DI, it's horns are gone, and it looks hideous!!
I have got to do some thinking on this one.

Thanks for stopping by!
