Better Homes and Garden's Photo Shoot!!

Remember last month when I told you Better Homes and Gardens were coming to my house?
 Well they did and it was great.
Let me tell you all about it!!
If you read Better Homes and Gardens,
 (OK right who doesn't!)
you will know the "I Did It" page they have every month.
That's going to be me and my office in their February issue!!!
A lot goes into this one page article!
Boxes started arriving at my house, in anticipation for the big day. I think 5-8 boxes in total arrived.
The day before the photo shoot the photographer and stylists arrived from California to check out the office and open all the boxes.They were very nice.
First thing the next morning Desiree, the make up artist, showed up. She did my hair and make-up. Talk about feeling like a queen.
Once I was all beautified, I just waited around until the room was ready.

Shortly after Desiree showed up, Edmund the photographer and Char the stylist knocked on the door.  They got to work getting things ready. First they rearrange the office a little. They took the big brown desk out of the room completely. It will not be in the photo, just the built-in's that I did.  

Pretty much everything in the entry way had to be moved so there was room for the camera and Edmund to back up. Oh and then they added a giant light and diffuser.  

Then Edmund set up his computer and took a few pictures. E-mails and phone conversations ensued with the big wigs at Better Homes and Gardens, until they were satisfied with the lighting and and angle at which to shoot from.

Edmund, said bloggers usually say embarrassing stuff about him, like how nice he was. Well I told him I would have to embarrass the heck out of him too. He just was really nice. Easy to talk to.  

Char, the stylists, restyled my shelves using some of the items that were shipped and some of my own stuff. I am proud to say mostly my stuff.

Char then went through the same communication with the home office until they liked all the accessories. Char and I had been communicating before they arrived in Salt Lake City, via e-mail.  It was great to finally meet her in person. We got along great, she too was super helpful and fun.

  

Finally the room was ready and we started the photo shoot. Lots of pictures of a handful of poses.  People telling me how great I looked and how amazing the photo's were looking. Every so often Desiree would fix my hair and Char would fix the wrinkles in my shirt.

  Details, Details!!!  

I love detail oriented people!!!

Edmund made especially sure my hands looked natural and not weird.  

How could my room and I not look amazing with all these guys helping me out?

The whole shoot took about 5 hours!!

But the time went fast, almost too fast.

I was able to see some of the pictures on the computer, very exciting.

Char and Edmund really made this experience amazing. I could not dream of anyone else who could have made this experience any better than they did!!

When you see the photo, you will see how talented they are!!

I really can't wait to get my magazine in the mail and see myself.
 I will have to pinch myself to make sure it's really true.
 If you would have told me a few years ago I would be in Better Homes and Gardens, I don't think I would have believed you.
