So excited today to show the transformation of the girls bathroom cabinets!
Color makes a world of difference.
Let's look at what I started with.
They are actually not bad oak cabinets, but they are boring builder grade. I love the durability of my painted laundry room cabinets, so I decided to spray paint these too.
These are going to get a lot of use so I started by sanding them with an electric sander, then wiped them down good and sprayed them with Krylon Gray Primer
.
I wanted less of the oak grain to show so I went back and added DryDex Spackling
to the cabinet fronts and sanded it; it filled in a lot of the grain.
I then Primed it again and started the spray painting process I used on the Laundry room cabinets.
I used Krylon Satin Oxford Blue
paint.
I color matched the spray paint and then hand painted the cabinet frame in place.
I love the color!!!
I had a hard time picking knobs, but in the end I decided on these large brushed brass whistle knobs from DLawless Hardware. I love the gold against the blue as well as the simple sleek lines.
Don't you love the yumminess of them?
Let's look at where we started!
Plain orange oak.........

What do you think?
Can't wait to show you the whole room!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
I was provided product from D.Lawless and Krylon but all opinions are mine.
