Basement Family Room - Looking Up! Finishing the ceiling!

Last time I finished priming the ceiling and walls.
Now it is time to actually finish a surface,
THE CEILING!
First I painted it, which sucks for your back and face!
When your done your back aches and your face has paint all over it!
But I persevered!
(Do you feel sorry for me?)

After it was painted we turned our attention to all the gaping holes in the ceiling.

We had four large holes for speakers and 15 holes for our can lights.
I am a total light person!
I hate dark rooms.
During the day we actually get plenty of light from the two windows, even though it is in the basement. But at night we needed lots of artificial light. We put in 6 can lights on either side of the soffit, for a total of 12 in the main area. We put two over the table in the game/craft area, and one at the end of the hallway. There are also two sconces that help light the hallway but we will talk about those another day.
Here is a video of the whole ceiling process!!

So excited to have a completed surface!
I just love to look at the ceiling and say that it's finished!!
(OK, I am slightly weird, but I have to encourage myself!)

Thanks for stopping by!
